The American Society of Interior Designers (ASID) - Connecticut Chapter featured designers for the annual Connecticut Home Design Expo 2007. Amy Bryant Eisenberg teamed to design the ASID booth this year. The centerpoint for the design, an ivory channel back settee created the focal point for the display. A large black with gold rectangular mirror set at an diagonal behind it allowed the accent lighting to bounce off to set a light and airy contrasted tone from the black accents. A black/taupe/ivory schemed needlepoint rug from Palace Oriental Rug in Wilton, CT sets the tone for the space. The faux zebra upholstered ottoman and lumbar pillows and the aubusson floral pillow on the settee set off enhance the beauty of the rug and carry the eye throughout the design. Using material from a previous ASID show, this designer chose to create a white rawsilk swag valance across an underlayment of sheer oak leaf embellished draped walls. Creating a soft and lightly texturized wall space. French style rush seat chairs combined with a small round skirted table layered in white linen grid patterned topstiched detailing further enhances the light tonal textured look. The antique birdcage added a touch of whimsy and charm to the space which invited children into the area. A lovely floral arrangement contributed by The Silk Touch in Norwalk, CT. |

Fairfield Christmas Tree Festival Designer since 2007. The festival fundraises for a selected charity each year. Designers from all over Fairfield County are asked to contribute a design for a room in the Burr Homestead in the historical district of the Town of Fairfield. This shows Amy's scheme of teals, copper and a blend of metallic ornamentation and accessores. Kaoud Oriental Rugs of Wilton provided the beautiful area rug while Blackstone Textiles of Westport provided the 20 yards of silk which was draped in single width over the window as a mock treatment. |
